Our menu is packed with classic Panamanian dishes created from scratch using seasonal, local, and international ingredients. Bold flavors abound. From delicious appetizers, to inspired entrees, to decadent desserts, your meal will be one of a kind. We are also attentive to special dietary needs, such as gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, and/or allergy-related issues.

Our Order Policy

Just Delivery

We offer FREE delivery service for our A la Cart Catering menu up to 10 miles. There is a delivery fee of $10 delivery fee over 10 miles and up to 15 miles; and $20 delivery fee over 15 miles and up to 25 miles. Please refer to the "Shipping" section for additional information on delivery of food items beyond 25 miles.

Food items may be delivered in disposable foil pans, bakery boxes, or plastic containers. Paper/plastic goods may be provided for an additional charge of $6.00 per person. Goods include plastic utensils, plates, cup, and paper napkin. Disposable serving utensils are available for an additional charge of $2.50 each. Disposable wire chafing warmer kits are also available for an additional charge of $15.00 each.

We also offer delivery services for rush orders (less than 36 hours), for services outside of business hours, or on holidays, for an additional charge of $50.00.

Delivery & Set-up

We offer delivery and set-up services for our A la Cart Catering menu - up to 25 miles. There is a food and beverage order minimum of $300.00 (pre-tax). A 20% service fee is applied to all delivery and set-up services. Delivery and set-up services beyond 25 miles are only offered for Full Service Catering. 

We also offer delivery services for rush orders (less than 36 hours), for services outside of business hours, or on holidays, for an additional charge of $50.00.

Shipping & Handling

We ship food items from our A la Cart Catering menu throughout the 50 United States. Non-perishable food items (e.g. Easter bun, Christmas fruit cake) may be shipped via USPS priority mail. However, perishable food items (e.g. carimanolas, tamales) are shipped via FedEx or USPS overnight only, and at the customer's expense. Please email us to request an estimate for shipping at catering@esenciaspanamenas.com. Please include the shipping zip code, along with the items to be shipped.

Full Service Catering At Your Location

Full service catering includes a Catering coordinator to oversee the set up and break down of the contracted menu, service equipment, and cleanup of the service area. Service also includes chafing dishes with heating components, décor, tablecloth, serving vessels, and serving utensils. We offer high quality disposable utensils, plates, cups, and napkins for a charge of $6.00 per person. However, we are also able to provide 3-piece white china place setting, glassware, silverware and cloth napkins for a nominal fee of $15.00 per person.

The event date is not secured until the signed contract and the deposit are received. A deposit equaling 50% of the total value of the contract, of which $200 is non refundable, is required upon signing the contract. A complimentary tasting, for up to 2 people, is included with the signed contract and deposit. Tasting is also offered for larger groups (3+) OR for potential customers with no signed contract, for an additional charge of $25.00 per person. The remaining 50% is required 1 week prior to the event. Servers and Bartenders are available for an additional fee. Tablecloths for guests tables are also available for an additional fee. 

The deposit (minus $200) will be fully refundable if written cancellation is received at least 21 days prior to the event. Cancellations received less than 21 days will incur a 25% charge to cover our investment, cancellations received less than 14 days will incur a 50% charge to cover our investment.  No money will be returned if the cancellation is received less than 7 days from the event.

Place an Order

To place an order, click the "Place Your Order" button below. Orders will not be accepted by phone, or by hand written email or by text. Large catering orders (30+ people) must be placed at least 2 weeks from the day needed. Small catering orders (less than 30 people) must be placed 5 days from the day needed. While we cannot guarantee our availability for orders placed within 3 business days of the event, we will do our best to accommodate you! If we are able to accommodate the order, a $50 rush fee will be added onto your final bill.

Payment method: Cash, Credit Card, PayPal, and Cashier bank check; no personal checks accepted.

Pricing shown on this website is only applicable to offsite catering and not to catered events at the restaurant. Pricing is also subject to change without notice.
