Dulce de Frutas (Panamanian Fruit Cake) (Shippable)

This cake is different from fruitcakes in the United States. The crystallized fruits are ground and poured into a jar along with raisins and currants, and they are soaked in wine, brandy, and rum for about a year before making the cake.
