Empanadas
Note: you may fry from frozen. Heat oil for frying in a deep-fryer or large saucepan to 350 degrees. Fry the (frozen) corn empanadas in small batches (4 at a time). Cook until crispy and golden brown for about 3 minutes per side. Drain on paper towel before serving.
Carimanolas

Hojalda Masa
Divide dough into (12-4oz or 16-3oz) balls. Rub oil in the palm of your hands and gently stretch the dough out starting from the center, outward. Tip: if you are unable to stretch by hand, place on a flat surface and roll out with a rolling pin. Heat oil to 350-375 degrees and deep fry for about 2 minutes per side.
